Lela Hancock, 76, of 900 S. Washington St., died at 4:50 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital after a short illness. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Starr and was born April 1, 1892 at Paris, Ill. Her first marriage was to Albert Scott Bower and her second to Arthur Hancock. Mrs. Hancock was a member of the United Methodist Church at Tuscola, Ill., and the WSCS of the church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Mary L. Griffin of Indianapolis, and four grandchildren. The body will be taken from Powers Funeral Home today to Waddington Funeral Home at Tuscola, where funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. McConkey will officiate, with burial in Tuscola Cemetery. Friends may call at Waddington Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight. – jlr
